November Was BUSY!!!

Whew!  We’ve made it through this month, Thanksgiving, and now we are on the stretch to Christmas and beyond!  I believe this November will go down as the busiest month EVER for puppy inquiries!  At this moment, I have received 54 emails inquiring about puppies!  I have responded to ALL of them through the month, and heard back from just a handful of people (this is pretty normal).  From the handful, just 5 have sent in their deposits and have found a place on the waiting list!  I am excited for these families, and I expect there will be a couple more in the next couple of days!

The waiting list and available puppies sections on the right side bar of this website are current and up to date!  We have just 5 puppies left from the Penelope and Lilly litters, and I have pictures in my phone that I can mail to people!  I also would prefer phone communication at this time.  Typing responses to this many inquiries has proved to be VERY time-consuming, and there is a lag time with email, and people responding back, etc.  So talking on the phone is the best way to really know which puppies are available and when they can go home!

Penelope’s litter is ready now, and several will be flying home this coming week.  Lilly’s litter will be 7 weeks old the week of Christmas, so they will be ready to go home sometime after the New Year.

Shipping at this time of year can be challenging due to very cold weather, and blackout dates that the airlines will not take puppies.  Please get in touch with us soon if your puppy is needing to fly so we can get a flight booked soon!

I look forward to working with each of you that decide to get one of our puppies!  Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Seamus Update

This is an update on the golden male pup from Annie & Colby’s litter.

Hi Kristy —

just a quick health update on our boy Seamus — we went to the vet today and he was a little trooper for his microchipping, first round of lepto and bordetella.Vet very happy w/his overall health…and thrilled out of his mind with his bite (vet may have been a dentist in another life).

Seamus is more himself every day. he’s charmed the pants off the vet techs, friends and neighbors. (he stole my heart from minute one of landing in Madison.) .

At the moment, he’s busy killing his squeaky rabbit which is a good alternative to my dirty socks (his REAL favorite toy)

Sorry for no pix — my camera’s decided to go haywire — but wanted to let you know Seamus is great and healthy.

Thank you again for a wonderpup!

A

Thanks for the update! Can’t wait to see pictures of him in his new home!!

Today’s Quick News

Besides puppy baths, and photos, today had a couple other notable things happen.  Pansy & Pujo’s litter was due today, and she delivered one solid black female Cavachon.  Again, I always wish for at least 4 pups in a litter, but getting a solid black pup is always a good thing because the color is so rare.

Another thing that happened this morning…Lilly & Colby tied the knot and mated.  If all goes well, we should have new Cavachon puppies born in November and ready to go home in January!!

I have a very busy week ahead, with my sister and brother-in-law coming on Wednesday to stay a week, but somehow I will squeeze in puppy baths for Annie’s males, and new pictures and video of them.

Until then, have a tail waggin’ day!!  Kristy

There are more pictures available of each puppy. I will begin contacting those on the waiting list today via email.

If all the chips fall in the right places, these pups should go to the first 4 people on the waiting list:)

I would love to hear from Rita, Lisa, Coral, and Aurora ASAP!! Please email me! Thanks!

Max (Service Dog) Update

Receiving this email forced me to hold back tears! Knowing that we bred this dog leaves me feeling very proud and truly grateful.

Enjoy learning about Max and all that he has accomplished in less than a year of life!

Kristy,
I wanted to share with you pictures of our little Cavachon “Max”, as we know him. He is from Lilly’s October 2012 litter and came to us January of 2013.

In the 9 months he has been with the family he has/received:

1. The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) award with the American Kennel Club

2. Service Dog Certification as a diabetic scent dog (August @ 10 months)

3. Attended elementary school (1st grade) and attended a preschool for kids with special needs.

4. He drove the Alaska/Canada Hwy

5. He went fishing in Prince William Sound

6. He flew on a small engine plane around Alaska and…

7. Returned to Oregon sitting in the cabin with his 6 year-old charge!

He started obedience and service dog training classes the week he came to us. When he was 16 wks old he started alerting of changes in my grand-daughter’s blood sugar level.

Max may be small but he has a big responsibility and the attitude to match. He is a happy and playful puppy, but put on his ‘red service dog vest’ – he is all business and his attention goes to a 6 year-old diabetic child, they are a perfect match!!

We love him!!
