The next litter is the Emily litter. I don’t know by looking at their faces who is who just yet for the boys vs girls. Next set of photos will specify!!

So how do you get a Silver Paw puppy?

The first thing you should do is contact us via email or phone. I will list those at the end of this blog post.

After that, I will send you a cover letter email that gives you all the information for placing a deposit. Once you have sent the deposit, you will be in line for choosing a puppy. Puppy selection will begin next week in the order that I receive deposits. I will be calling each family and doing FaceTime videos for those that have iPhones to allow you to choose your puppy. You’re also welcome to come and choose in person, but it has to be in a timely manner that doesn’t hold up the rest of the waiting list. Once you have selected a puppy, you will pay $500 to hold the puppy. Then when you pick up the puppy, you will pay the balance. This is all explained in the cover email.

Right now, there are more puppies than families, so it’s a great time to get a puppy from Silver Paw Cavachons!

These litters were born one day apart, so basically all the puppies can go home at the same time. I’m excited because I have several families returning right now to get a second puppy, and that just makes my heart very happy. I even have a “child” from a family that bought a dog years ago, and that child is all grown up now and wanting a puppy of their own! This has happened a couple times and it is so much fun to continue the relationship with Silver Paw families.

Hi Everyone!

I’ve had some requests for what the adults look like in these color choices: Black & Tan, Solid Sable, and Golden.

Many of the Cavachons will fade as they get older, and since we have so many colors to choose from right now, I have some people wondering what the puppies look like when they grow into adults. It’s so exciting to have new puppies! I’ve also responded to many old emails, from back in April and before, and I apologize for the late response. Now that I’m home, I’m having time to get caught up with everything!

Thank you to those that have reached out, sent deposits for the waiting list, and are getting in line for these 13 puppies! If you’re not sure if you’re on the waiting list, please let me know and we can double check. Also, someone left a message on the blog about timing being off but they didn’t include their name.

Hello Everyone!

I have a lot of news. June 12th was the last day of my contract at my beloved teaching job and I moved out of my classroom on June 26th. Leaving teaching was not in my plans, but through some very painful circumstances, it became necessary for me to take a new path in my life.

On that same day of June 26th, Mercedes gave birth to eight healthy puppies and the next day Emily gave birth to five healthy puppies. It felt like God saying, “I got you girl, here’s a familiar path, let’s walk it together while you grieve.”

There’s truly nothing better than dogs when it comes to comfort, especially if human relationships are complicated. So I have been busy raising 13 gorgeous new puppies that will be ready the first week of school, which I don’t have to plan for any longer!!

Here’s a look at the litters! The first is the litter of eight from Mercedes and Big Boy. Mercedes is a black/tan Cavalier so we get a rainbow of colors! 🌈

They are two weeks old now with eyes open and they’re just starting to scoot around! I’ll be posting mini videos of them on Facebook and Instagram starting tomorrow!!

Emily and Jack also had puppies. Since Emily is a blenheim Cavalier, she can only have Blenheim puppies, and here is the first look at her babies! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

All of these puppies will be eight weeks old August 21 & 22 and will be ready to go home that weekend.

It feels great to have puppies again, especially since I’m now home full time!!

I have also upgraded the mama dog outdoor area and finally got my retaining wall built. This little area is perfect for potty breaks and just a safe space for some outdoor time. I love how it turned out! This photo was before the new black fencing came, but you get the idea!

I know some of you have reached out to me about puppies and we are taking names now for those that are interested in a summer puppy. Please reach out again via email or phone. I can’t wait to talk to all of you!

Also, now that I’m not working, puppy nanny service will be available with much flexibility!! I can’t wait to fly to your state and deliver your puppy. It’s one of my favorite things to do!!

Hi Everyone,

It’s time for some updates from Silver Paw Cavachons. Things have been quiet here due to several factors and I’d like to share a few details.

First, my mom who is now 90 moved in with us almost two years ago. This definitely changed the dynamic of our home and availability of time. We bred minimal litters last year and currently have no puppies.

Second, we had a line of litters where all the puppies didn’t sell and we ended up with older puppies who eventually did find pet homes, but that put an extra burden on our time and resources, so we pulled way back and began to evaluate what things looked like for our future.

We also downsized our numbers dramatically and found pet homes for all of our older dogs which leaves just a handful of adults now in our kennel.

Our plan is to breed our four females this spring and summer and I’m happy to announce that they have all been placed with males a couple weeks ago.

I’ve received many emails that I have not responded to and I apologize. If you are interested in being added to our waiting list for the upcoming litters, please kindly reach out again and I promise to reply this time.

Our spring/summer litters should produce a rainbow of colors and we are excited to meet all of you that are looking for puppies.

Here is our sweet, sweet Scarlett. She is enjoying her retirement!!

“Pierre”, as the kids have named him, is still looking for his forever home. He often goes to school with me and gets lots of holding and snuggles.

He is sleeping in a crate, can walk on a leash, loves his bully stick, and uses the doggie door to go potty outside.

He’s now four months old and just waiting for the right family to snatch him up.

Honestly, who can resist this face?? If you’re wanting a beautiful, happy, blenheim male puppy, accelerated, and well on his way to becoming a wonderful dog, Pierre is ready and waiting to finally go home.

We have a beautiful blenheim male that is ready for his new home now! He is 13 weeks old, fully vaccinated, wormed, and has been introduced to crate training and litter pad training.

We’d love to see him find his forever home before the new year. His sister is leaving December 27 and I hope he can leave at the same time!!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you to all who reached out about the waiting list. It now has about six people on it because I hardly heard from anyone! We plan to put dogs together again in February for April or later puppies (spring and summer).

Right now we have the most beautiful blenheim male that is being fully accelerated with his sable/white sister who is going home on December 27. They are 10 weeks old now, are fully wormed, two vaccinations, and learning to be crate trained and litter-box trained.

They are getting tons of socialization and will start coming to school with me soon.

The blenheim (apricot/white) boy is available. The sable/white girl is already matched to her forever family.

We had visitors on Thanksgiving day and they loved playing with the puppies and the puppies loved them! Enjoy the snaps!

The blenheim male is ready to go anytime. He is partially accelerated (two weeks so far) and right now we could easily get him to the Asheville, NC, area this coming week (there is a fee for nanny service). My son is heading home and could bring a pup on the plane with him.

Of course, anyone is welcome to fly into Spokane and we will bring him to the airport.

Hi Everyone!

We have a beautiful female Cavachon puppy from the Scarlett litter still looking for her forever home.

She’s been started on crate training, walking on the leash, and she’s had a bit of experience with children. She’s gone to school with me twice and the kids love her!

She’s fully vaccinated and wormed and ready to go anytime.

I also want to let everyone know we are planning one litter from Missy and Jackfrost late this summer. We’ve put them back together and we’ll let you know when they mate.
