COLORS

Here at Silver Paw Cavachons, we have had the joy of discovering the wide variety of colors that can be found in the Cavachon breed. Each litter is exciting because while we have an idea of the color palate that is possible with each pairing, we can’t predict exactlly what colors we will get.

We love the surprise element when the puppies are born and especially when we get a “rainbow” litter with 3 or more different colors in the same litter!

Over the years, we have categorized our most common colors into 9 different groups.

SIZES

Cavachons also come in a variety of sizes. Below is our size chart. Please refer to it as you discuss what color and size of Cavachon is your first choice. It will help us know how to better match the puppies to their new families.

Extra Small – under 12 lbs (we do NOT get this size often)

Small 13-15 lbs

Medium 16-18 lbs

Large – over 18 lbs

The majority of our puppies are small to medium in size. We have produced some extra small Cavachons, but only a handful. We also have produced some fairly large puppies, but we generally know which parents those puppies will come from. As you decide which size will fit your family, we ask that you are flexible regarding the adult size of your puppy. While we are fairly certain we won’t match you to a “large” pup if you wanted “extra small”, it is not as easy to separate those puppies that will be small or medium in size. When purchasing a Cavachon from Silver Paw Cavachons, you should be content with a puppy that will have an adult weight from 13-18 lbs. We are very good at “guestimating” adult weight, but your desired 14 lb puppy, may end up being 17 lbs.
