I love getting updates on the puppies. This is an Olivia & Jester pup!
Obi is now 5 months old and doing great. He completed his puppy training, goes to weekly socialization “play dates” and has just started his “Teen manners” classes. He continues to love everyone and everything which is what we wanted. He can Sit, Down, Come, Touch, Leave it, and Drop it. He loves chasing balls but is learning that bringing them back to me allows the game to continue. We are working on “Go to your Matt” and “Stay”. He is still lovely in his crate overnight and many times puts himself to bed. He is already 18 lbs! Bigger than we thought he would be since we thought he would be about 19 lbs fully grown. He may be a “megachon”. People love his friendly demeanor – he has never met anyone he did not like! Even the young man with autism down the street who tends to make sudden loud noises which has caused other dogs to startle and bark at him. Obi loves him (which I encouraged by giving Obi a piece of cheese when we would see him) and they have a good cuddle every time we meet. My neighbours had to euthanize their old dog about 2 weeks after Obi came home and now that Obi walks well on a leash, they will come over and take him for a walk and a cuddle when they need a little “puppy therapy”.
What a blessing he is to his community! He’s a “golden” dog, which is the color of the four females we have that are available and ready to go home any day. What a little trooper Obi is!!
All of the Scarlett puppies have been matched and it’s time now to talk about the Dutchess litter.
They are 8 weeks old and will be ready for their new homes on Thursday, July 14 after they see the vet and get their health certificates. There are five puppies in this litter, three girls and two boys.
These puppies should be the average 15-20lbs as adults. They have received their first shots and are up to date with worming. They are well socialized and learning about the crate.
Send an email to email@example.com for more info. We are matching this litter to those on or off the waiting list. Those on the waiting list will be prioritized in waiting list order.
This is a great opportunity to get a summer puppy!! I will begin calling people on Sunday morning for puppy matching. If you are jot available at that time, reach out and I will work with you!
We have just one more pup from Scarlett’s litter. She’s the light colored blenheim, almost more of a cream colored pup. She has her health certificate and can go anytime.
She’s friendly, loving, and has a very sweet nature. She’s happy and playful too and is ready for her forever home. She’s available to anyone on or not on the waiting list.
In other news, I’ve been pouring over the waiting list and have contacted almost everyone. I’ve discovered a LOT of people found puppies elsewhere which I’m very happy they didn’t have to wait, or they changed their mind and decided not to get a puppy. Now that I know this information I am able to remove their names and our waiting list went from 120 down to 80! Within the 80 that are still on the list I’ve actually spoken to/emailed/texted just 43 of them, so chances are high there will be others removed from the list.
This explains why I’ve been matching puppies to completely new people not on the list or people that were at the very end of the waiting list. If you have been a little apprehensive about getting on a waiting list with over 100 people, believe me, if you’re not waiting for a tri color or black and tan puppy, chances are your wait is definitely less than a year (probably less than six months) and there may be no wait at all.
As puppies are matched, I plan to cap the waiting list at 75 so it will open and close as new litters are born and matched to their families.
Also, when you are ready for a puppy, YOU NEED TO CONTACT ME!! I do not call everyone on the waiting list to ask if you’re interested (it would take days as people aren’t home, available, or take a while to respond). Simply reach out to me when you see a litter you like and the timing works into your schedule. If you’re on our waiting list, you will be prioritized in waiting list order. If you’re not on the waiting list, you will be added in the order that you contact me, after the waiting list families.
I think that’s it for now. We have new puppies that will be ready in July and I WILL be traveling to Sacramento when they are old enough to fly. I can bring two in the cabin with me July 20th. If that works into your timeline be sure to reach out about the Dutchess and Missy puppies below.
Here’s a sneak peek.
Also, we will probably have more puppies available in September. That’s all for now!!
I love getting updates!! This is one of the Olivia pups. He is settling in so nicely!!
“Obi had his last puppy vaccinations yesterday and I had him microchipped. He did great! Today we went for another longer walk in the woods and got caught in the rain. Came home, got dried off and now he is playing with his food puzzle. “
This beautiful golden boy is still looking for a forever home. He is ready this weekend. He should be an average 15-20lbs as an adult. He is very friendly and loving, loves people, exploring, and finding new adventures.
We are going to the vet today with Mimi’s litter (11:30 pacific time) and we’d love to include him with the rest of the litter.
It’s likely that this post will generate a LOT of interest. The best way to make this happen, if you’re interested, is to give me a call. If I’m not able to pick up, I’ll call people back in the order I received calls. 509-936-2715
Tomorrow (Friday, April 22) is puppy matching day for the Mimi litter. There was a lot of interest in this litter and below is my call list.
I’ll begin the calls around 2pm and continue down the list until all of the puppies are matched. There are two black/white females, two black males, one black/white male, and a golden male.
I’ve listed what each person prefers so you should have a general idea of whether or not you might actually get a pup from this litter. One thing I know, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!
Be sure you’re available to pick up your phone as I will call, and if you don’t answer, wait about 15 minutes, send a text and an email, and then try again. If you are still unavailable, I will then move on to the next person.
I really hope things will go very smoothly tomorrow and I won’t have to skip over anyone. My goal is to match all the puppies before 6pm.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I will only be discussing the puppies you selected on the litter form. We can try to FaceTime if you have an iPhone so you can see the puppies in action.
The Mimi puppies are now five weeks old and it’s time to begin our puppy selection for this litter. Here are some key detail to keep in mind. Please read through the whole blog post. If you still have questions, send an email to:
If you leave a question in the comments here I may or may not see it. I prefer email communication so everything stays in the same place.
This litter was born on March 10 and will be ready for new homes sometime between May 5-19. I’m leaving a wider range because these babies are small and may need to be a little older before going home.
There are six puppies: 2 black/white girls, 2 black boys, 1 black/white boy, 1 golden boy. The black/white pup on the right with more white on the back is the boy.
These puppies are not eligible to go into cargo on a plane because they are too small. Owners will need to drive or fly in to Spokane to pick them up in person. If you fly in, we will bring the puppy to the airport.
We expect these puppies to be from 12-16 lbs as adults. This is always a guesstimate but mom is one of our smallest Bichons and the puppies also seem on the smaller side.
Plan your pickup so it is not on a Saturday. We are not open on Saturdays.
To be considered for one of these puppies you will need to fill out the following form. It asks for your basic contact info, including the phone number you want me to use when/if I call you, waiting list number, town where you live (if puppies are going to the same place), and finally a list of preferences.
As you fill out the form (link below) you need to select every puppy that you would be willing to take home. I will only contact you about puppies you’ve selected, so if you’re open to both genders and all colors, just select every puppy.
If you are not on our waiting list you may choose any number after 150 as the form requires a waiting list number. We will consider you after talking to those who reached out and are on the waiting list. We will talk to people in waiting list order.
I plan to call people next Friday, April 22nd. I should start calling around 2pm.
Thank you for your interest in this litter. They are super cute and mom has been doing a great job raising them!!
I wanted to post the litter list for Scarlett’s litter. There are 8 puppies, 3 girls and 5 boys. I’ll post updated photos and video this coming weekend. They are currently 3.5 weeks old.
Please fill in this form if you are on the waiting list and would like to be considered for this litter. They will be ready to go home November 11-17. Like the last litter, we are not able to do accelerated puppy training during the school year. Please only consider this litter if you are able to travel here between November 11-17.
Also, this is an F1b litter. The mother, Scarlett, is a Cavachon bred back to a Bichon Frise. the puppies are technically 3/4 Bichon and 1/4 Cavalier. Some do have a tighter curl and some colors are more muted.
The waiting list has been updated with all of the recent deposits that we have received.
This is an older photo, but you can see their colors. The solid sable, one white, and the sable/white with the spot on her head are the female puppies. More pictures soon.
