I saw your message that Dash’s sister, Scarlett, just had another litter and realized that I’m way overdue in sending you an update on how our new puppy, Bodhi, is doing. He is from Penny and Big Boy’s December 2021 litter and is about twice the size as our first Cavachon, Dash (formerly known as Rhett). He is just over 33 pounds, athletic, boisterous, talkative, impossible to ignore, and an all-around lovable rogue. He is obsessed with playing fetch, loves doing tricks for treats, and gives the best hugs and snuggles.
We worried initially that Dash, who is 11 years old now, wouldn’t enjoy having a puppy around but Dash accepted him right away. Though they have completely opposite personalities, they are buddies and do not like being separated. Our older dog, who is quite the proper gentleman, lets us know when Bodhi is being naughty and Bodhi does his best to make sure that Dash gets his exercise in every day, enticing him into post-meal wrestling sessions and frequent squirrel chases in our backyard. They are a perfect pair. Their antics keep us entertained and we are so glad to have them both.
Thanks for all that you do, Kristy!!
Best Regards,
Holly, John, Audrey, and Callum
Dash, Scarlett’s brother!Dash and BodhiBodhi, from Penny & Big BoyHappy, even with the cone of shame!!Good boys!!Ummmmm…what’s happening here???!!!Bodhi & Dash
Just in case you’re not following us on Instagram (@silverpawcavachons…and you should be!!), here’s what is happening over there today.
We’ve named the Scarlett puppies! Smokey got his name first and we just took his lead and gave everyone campfire names!
We did official photos yesterday and there is a roll call video of them on IG.
This was the smallest puppy in the litter. We helped him along for a bit with supplemental feeding. He’s eating solid food and holding his own with the crowd. He has a tighter curl in his coat. Solid Sable, but a Smokey, grey/brown color. Adorable little pup with a typical Cavachon coat. Solid Sable, nice carmel brown color. Playful and sweet! Most outgoing puppy in the litter. Bounds into your lap. Wants to meet everyone! Blenheim, curly coat. Sweet golden girl, curly looking golden coat. She has a small white star on her head!Small like her brother Smokey. Very light golden cream color. Typical Cavachon coat. Friendly and playful! This is the girlie with the kiss spot on her head. Dark sable brown color, curly coat. Playful and fun little girl. Happy and friendly!Largest sable/white girl, light brown sable color. Bouncy, happy, and playful!
Scarlett’s puppies are really interacting with each other and playing hard, then sleeping well!! They will be ready to go home August 15th.
Emily’s litter also got their names. One puppy has a phantom face, meaning his apricot patch covers an entire side of his face. I knew he had to be the Phantom, so then looked up the other characters from the Musical and found all the boy names! We haven’t quite assigned their names yet, except for Phantom, but we will as soon as I can tell them all apart!! Right now they look pretty similar!
The timing works out for me to bring puppies to CA in September if there is anyone down there wanting a puppy delivered. Space is limited so reach out soon if you’re interested.
Current litter list for the Scarlett litter is: Priscilla N (7) Female, Priscilla N (8) Male, Clair R (38) Female, Gale G (40) Female, Robin C (45) Female, Kathy K (48) Female, Kaira Rouda (50) Female, Julie R Golden Female, John D Male
This is the current order for those choosing a Scarlett pup, the waiting list numbers, and gender preference. While there are eight pups and eight choices (Priscilla is getting two), there still could be puppies available if everything doesn’t line up perfectly with color and gender. I’ll be reaching out to people this week for puppy selection.
Current litter list (so far) for the Emily Litter is: Kristen N (37), Carol I (42), Ileen C (46), Vikas S (49). Still two more available puppies!!
IF YOU’VE ASKED TO BE ON A LITTER LIST AND I’VE MISSED YOUR NAME, please reach out and let me know and I’ll get you added!!
We are waiting for the Mimi pups to be born any day now!!
Here’s another update from a puppy from the Missy litter. This is the little solid sable girlie! She will be living in Southern California, but is adventuring in Montana right now!
Hi Kristy , Bean is settling right in ! And Mack’s tail is almost always wagging 🙂 . He can’t quite understand why she gets food and toys that he doesn’t . So ultimately he gets all the toys 😂. She is a doll ! Sleeps 8 hours ,uses her litter pad 99.9% of the time , And is a busy little thing . I luf her ❤️!
Thanks you for giving your pups such a great start on life !
Dana
Too cute…both of them in that giant bed!! Bean says, “I’d rather snuggle with my big brother”!!!
Love getting these updates!
Here’s what’s happening next. The Scarlett puppies are six weeks old this coming week. I’ll do a blog post just about them and also post some videos on Facebook.
Emily’s litter is almost three weeks old. They have just opened their eyes and they’re starting to toddle around on their legs.
Mimi, a small Bichon, is pregnant with Duke’s puppies (F1). They should be born by mid August.
I’m taking names for the Scarlett puppies until they are six weeks old on August 1st. We will begin puppy selection with them this coming week.
That’s about it for now. Thanks for following along and don’t hesitate to send an email with questions.
I love getting updates about the puppies! This is the largest male from the Missy litter. He went home at eight weeks old.
Hi Kristy. I keep forgetting to send you the name that I picked for Big Boy. I named him Benny. I had originally thought that I might name him Jack Jr., but that is such a pointy, sharp name and he is so round and soft that it just didn’t fit. He’s doing really well and has brought a lot of life to the house. And he’s doing ok on the house training. He is completely comfortable in his crates and has slept through the night since the beginning (lucky for me). The snuggle puppy is a hit. I keep it in the crate that’s in my bedroom and I find him sleeping on top of it. Thank you so much for all the work you do to bring these wonderful puppies into the world. I just love my boy. Maxine D
We successfully matched all of the Missy pups over the weekend. Here’s a quick recap!
What’s next? Scarlett’s litter was born June 20 and we have a close eye on them to make sure everyone is gaining weight!
5 girls, 3 boys
We are taking names from anyone interested in the Scarlett litter. Those with a waiting list number (meaning you are currently on our waiting list) will have priority over anyone without a waiting list number. Right now we have three families on the Scarlett litter list, two from the waiting list and one other.
Stay tuned on FB and IG for photo and video updates on all the puppies!
In July we are expecting a litter from Emily. She is a blenheim Cavalier which means ALL of her puppies will also be blenheim in color (that’s the apricot & white coloring). I’ll post a picture of Emily soon.
It’s great to be surrounded by puppies again!! I enjoyed the break and it was long overdue, but it feels comfy and fun to be in puppy mode again!
Today is the first day of summer and the puppies had their first outing on the grass. The sun is warm and their little wagging tails warm my heart!!
It’s time for puppy selection for the Missy litter. They will be six weeks old Sunday and they are just so cute right now!!
We currently have nine families that have shown interest for this litter and this is the order of the call list. ..
I will start reaching out to people tomorrow morning around 10 am. If your name is on my list above, please send me the best phone number that I should use to reach you. You can send it via email (silverpawcavachons@gmail.com) or text message (509-936-2715). Please DO NOT leave it in the comments on this blog post.
Here are the puppies.
“Godiva”
This little girl is super social and fearless and the first one in my lap. I think she might live up to the “diva” in her name!! She is “red” in the videos on Facebook and Instagram.
“Dove”
This is “mellow yellow” from the videos. She’s super sweet and seems to be calm and very loving right now.
“Truffle”
This is the golden girlie from the litter. She’s not overly outgoing or shy, but somewhere in between. Sweet girlie!
“Cocoa Bean”
She is a small little solid sable girl and right now seems very calm and sweet. She did a lot of watching while her siblings tore around in the grass.
“Nestle”
This is the smallest sable/white of the three s/w boys and he’s a snuggler. He is “green” in the videos. He has a little more white on his back and his sable color is a dark chocolate color.
“Cadbury”
This is “blue” in the videos. He stands out for his blanket of color across his back. He is rich in color just like a Cadbury is rich in creamy flavor. He’s a fun little chap and will make a great companion.
“Hershey”
This is the largest pup in the litter. He is melty sweet and a happy guy. He’s got a nice parti coat with a pretty even distribution of sable and white across his back.
“Ferraro”
This is the little golden boy who has already been matched to his forever family (BobbyJo). He is a small pup with a sweet disposition and has a future in a Michigan university setting!!
I have side photos of all the puppies if you want to see their markings. Just send an email with that request. There are also videos on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Feel free to email me with puppy choices. As puppies are matched, I’ll be posting those results in my IG and FB stories. I’ll also do another blog post once they’ve all been matched.
We are back!! And Missy delivered (pun intended)!!
What a beautiful litter to bring us back into the world of raising Cavachons. Here’s Missy!
She had eight puppies and all are doing very well! They were born on Mother’s Day, one week ago, May 14, 2023. They will be ready for their new homes starting July 9, 2023.
I don’t know yet who is who for the five sable/white pups, but I can tell you we have: 1 gold F, 2 sable/white F, 1 solid sable F, 1 gold M (not available), 3 sable/white M.
These are F1 (first generation puppies) with a black/tan Cavalier mom and a Bichon dad, Jack. I expect the puppies to range from 15-23 lbs, but it is a bit early yet to guess on their adult weight.
Missy is raising them in the house with us and she is doing a fantastic job.
We are taking names for this litter. This means if you are on our waiting list, and you’re ready for a puppy in July, you need to reach out and ask to be added to the Missy litter list.
If you’re not on the waiting list, you can still have your name added to this litter list, but waiting list families will be prioritized before non-waiting list families. Send us an email if you’d like to be added to the official waiting list and/or Missy’s list.

We are excited to start working with all of you to find a puppy match for your family. Let me know if you have any questions!!

We post videos, tiny updates, and stories as the puppies grow.
Upcoming litters:
Scarlett (due in June, F1b litter)
Emily (due in July, F1 puppies, all will be blenheim)
This is a short post, but I wanted to let everyone know that we have finally seen our first tie. Scarlett and Jester will probably have puppies 🐶 in about 62 days (end of June). This will be an F1b litter since Scarlett is a Cavachon and Jester is a Bichon.
Feel free to reach out if you’d like to be added to this litter list. It will be good to have puppies around again!! KP
I’m popping in to let you know we are back and have put a few of our dogs back together. I’ll keep you posted here as we confirm pregnancies and reveal due dates of expected litters.
It was nice to have a break, but I know there are people hoping for summer puppies and we are trying to make that happen.
