Rosie’s Single Pup

Oh, if only her litter had been more than one puppy!! I can only imagine how beautiful they all might have been.

This girl is drop dead gorgeous and a beautiful representation of what a sable/white puppy can look like.
She has been reserved and will fly home with her new owner right at 8 weeks old. She is going to be a California girl!

She’s had her first worming and she’s starting to eat solid, but softened food (soaked in water). She is a gem. Enjoy her photo shoot!

She has good color throughout!  She is friendly and growing nicely.  As soon as she’s had her first shot, I will let her socialize with the smallest of the Cavalier puppies that I have right now, so she can know what it’s like to have a sibling.  Until then, she is just hanging with mama, who is taking very good care of her!!

The Puppies Woke Up

This happened yesterday after my 2 cents post…

I had to wake up the puppies to let them potty before taking them to town. Bella successfully used the box. Louis peed on the floor again. He is so excited about being with people I think he forgot to pee. I cleaned up his mess and we went outside in the grass.

The puppies love playing in the grass.

Today again: This whole training thing is a process. While in town yesterday, the puppies pooped in their crate and got icky. At home, I put them back out in the nursery and today we will do baths and start over again in the house.

And so each day turns, with moments of success and moments of failure. But persistence will pay off. I know from experience:)

Accelerated Puppy

We have the joy of working with the small Blenheim male from Pansy’s litter as an Accelerated Puppy.

We have started crate training with him and have been socializing him with as many people as we can. Once he’s had his 2nd shot we can start taking him more places with us so he can meet even more new people and get used to traveling in the car.

He is a very social boy and full of energy. His final destination is New York City after he is neutered. This should be a fun journey.

It rained outside, and he got a little wet when he went out to potty.  We brought him in and snuggled him in a big blanket!

He is very curious and alert to all of his surroundings!

His current buddy is “Bella”, the black/white Cavachon female that is still available for adoption.

He is a lover boy and a ball of wiggles!

Update on Luna

Here is an update from the family that got Pansy’s blenheim female! Glad things are going well:)

Hi Kristy,
We’ve had Luna about a week-and-a-half now and she is certainly settling-in as a member of the family! She is a funny, energetic puppy – I have nicknamed her Luna-Tic!
She passed her vet check with flying colors, uses her UGoDog alomost every time she potties, loves her many toys, and curling up on our laps when she is done running around the house or yard at full speed. We are having such a good time with her! N

Last Cavachon Till May

After downsizing all during 2012, we have settled into a really nice rhythm with breeding just Cavachon puppies (with an occasional Cavalier or Bichon pure bred litter here or there).

The number of puppies and litters has allowed us to spend more time with each puppy, something that has been a lot of fun for myself and the family.

For many years we seemed to always have “older puppies” still around, which meant a lot of work because we wanted to keep moving forward with their training despite their age.

For the first time in forever, our oldest puppy is under 12 weeks and we have only 1 puppy that is currently not spoken for.

Meet Bella, the super sweet and loving and affectionate black/white female Cavachon from Chelsea and Sonny’s litter. All of her siblings have gone home and Bella is waiting for her forever home. She is an incredible pup and has all the wonderful traits that make Cavachons so appealing as family pets.

Let me know if you might be interested in Bella. I’d love to send her home sometime next week:)

She is alert and engaging.

She is curious about her surroundings.

She has a balanced coat with black and white parti coloring.

She has a perfectly symmetrical face!

Which amazing family will have the opportunity to cuddle Bella next week? I can’t wait to find out:)

Chelsea’s Girls Go Home

Today, two puppies flew to their new homes. They were so cute when they left, had to share a video and a photo.

The first is a video of Cheryl’s pup that flew to CT. She was chillin’ and not worried at all about the trip.

The second puppy left later in the day and flew to Detroit. She was pretty calm in her crate as well:)

Progress

Things are falling together with puppy selection and the black/white females from Chelsea and Pansy’s litters. Congratulations to Shari who has selected the female from Pansy’s litter (not pictured).

The Chelsea girls all have homes waiting for them:)

This puppy will be flying home to New York Friday as well.

They all went to the vet today and got their Health Certificates. Everyone checked out beautifully and they were proclaimed healthy puppies!

Boomer Update

Here is an update from Natalie. Enjoy!…

“Hi Kristy,

I’m writing to give you a quick update about Boomer. He’s the sable & white male from Molly and Buster’s litter last year on March 31, 2012. At almost 1, he weighs about 26lbs and enjoys fruits and vegetables with his dry kibbles! He loves apples, pears, blueberries, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots. He’s doing wonderful and is such a joy to my family! He likes to play with my 11 & 8 yr old sons and wants to be included in their games. He loves to snuggle in bed and will lay beside me on the sofa throughout a movie. Each time we give him a pressed bone, he would look for a place to hide it. Are Cavachons fond of digging in the dirt? We’ve trained him to fetch the newspapers from the bottom of our driveway…attached is a photo of him taken today, chilling out and enjoying a cool breeze on the deck. 🙂 Thank you so much for Boomer. He’s such a GREAT dog and makes us laugh a lot!

Best regards,
Natalie S.”
