Candid Playtime

We’re just hanging out in the kitchen. It seems the Blenheim puppies were more interested in the camera this evening.

The sable/white females. They were a little apprehensive about the camera.

Be sure to check the YouTube channel. There are a couple new videos of them all playing.

Bobby Gets a Haircut

Bobby was looking a little scraggly.

All his hairs had little wispy ends on them.

So I took him to the groomer to get a little “trim”. They cut him a little shorter than what I was thinking, but hair grows back, and on Cavachons, it grows back fast! I still think he’s as cute as ever!

A Boy And His Pup

I love hearing from everyone after their puppy has gone home! Its especially fun to hear from the children in the family. Here is a testimony from an 11 year old boy!

“Frodo has been a very good dog around the house, he has learned to sit, he’s almost learned the down command, and is almost potty trained. He has been very friendly to my family and friends. He loves walks (he actually loves running!), food and sleeping. He is doing very well and is almost done with his shots (Hooray for that.) He has been a great addition to the family and my life.”

I should add that Frodo, the pup, was the only blenheim pup from the Princess/Skippy litter.  I hope all of his brothers and sisters are thriving as well!

Sophie Goes Home

Sophie, our 4th Accelerated Puppy went home last Sunday. She is adjusting well and learning the ropes in her new home. Here are a couple of updates.

Sophie Made It

Well we didn’t hear a peep out of Sophie during the whole 8 hour trip back to P. We stopped about 4 times to get out and walk a bit and she did great. Right now she is resting next to me in the kitchen after getting a walk around the neighborhood and then given a tour of her new home. I am so glad you trained her to walk on the leash properly – what a joy to have her stop when I stop and to wait when I ask her too.

And…

Sophie is doing much better with the grandchildren today. They came over for a visit and she followed them around and hung around while the kids played but jumped back if they make any quick movements. She startles easily even with me with so I don’t know if that will be a longterm thing or if she is still getting used to us. I’m going to take her to a small dog “play group” at a local dog training center and see how she does. Tomorrow we are off to the vet.

It does take some time for a young dog to make the transition. But overall, it sounds like Sophie is getting used to her new home!

Abby – Available Accelerated Cavachon Puppy

20111011-125109.jpg

Abby is Tiny Tim’s partner in crime!  Her personality is very similar to his, outgoing, mischevious, playful, and very energetic!  When Tim was out, so was Abby, but both stayed close to home and greeted us with tail wags and kisses when we pulled into the driveway!

She is just a little bitty thing as well, around 7-8 lbs, and would be a great pup for someone who travels frequently.

Her ears aren’t quite as long as Maddie’s, but they are still sweet and silky.

Abby will also be spayed before going home.  She is a champ on the leash, and is also crate trained.

Maddie – Available Accelerated Cavachon

20111011-121718.jpg

If I had to use just one word to describe this girl, it would be “gentle”, but the word “sweet” would be a very close second.  This puppy is probably going to be the ultimate lap dog for someone.  She is content to be in your arms, and while the other puppies are playing their hearts out, she’d rather watch, or be close to you.

She is 100% puppy still, and does enter into the fun, but she is not the main initiator of it, and sometimes she just stays out of the way when Tiny Tim and Abby (next blog post) get into the rough and tumble play.

20111011-121734.jpg

She is gentle and loving, and a tiny little thing at just over 7 lbs last time she was weighed.

She got one of those killer haircuts as well.  There is a picture at the end of what she looked like “before”.

Her ears and long and wispy, just giving her such a soft and loving look when you see her face!

If you like hair, just let hers grow out!  She’ll be a mop before you know it!

Maddie loves her walks on the leash and does pretty well traveling in the car.  She is crate trained and is just waiting for her forever home.

Maddie will be spayed before going home.
