Puppy & Piano News

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for some updates! Things have been somewhat quiet around here simply because we’ve not bred any new puppies since the end of 2024.

Here is the first update with more to come:

Pierre found his forever home. I was able to fly him to the Seattle area in March of this year, on my way to look at a baby grand piano, a very fitting activity since it was piano lessons for my children that inspired this entire dog world that we have enjoyed for so many years!!

Pierre at the airport!
Sweetest dog and family!
This is a wonderful family where Pierre is very loved!
Our first mini adventure together for 2024!

After we delivered Pierre, we had a little drive north to look at and play the baby grand piano. It was an exciting little day trip for the two of us!

We did buy the piano!

It was a family member that reached out to us and I am so grateful they thought of us. It has been a dream to own a baby grand!!…and the price was excellent!!

Naughty Buddy

After we paid for the piano (it would be delivered a few weeks later), we stopped by my hubby’s cousin’s house and visited for a bit. If you scroll back a ways on this blog, you’ll find a post about “Naughty Buddy”, an older pup that needed a home. This is where he found his forever home and he was a bundle of bouncy, happy energy!! We then made our way back home after a really fun day!!

I’ve received several emails from people asking if Pierre was still available so I thought I better post an update.

Stay tuned for more doggie news. We still have some older puppies available (two blenheim males and a black male) and a brand new litter of three blenheim males (I know, so many boys!).

Let me hear from you if you’re interested in a puppy! 🐶

Last Puppy

Hello Everyone!

We’ve had a busy weekend sending three puppies to their forever homes!

Solid Sable Female

The first to go was the solid sable female. She’s heading out of state to a wonderful new family!! Her new name is “Syrup” and she’s definitely a sweetie!

Golden Female

The next to go weathered a mountain pass on the first day we had snow here at home. They had come in person to choose their “Honey” girl and she is now safely home beginning her new life!!

Blenheim Female

The final pup to leave yesterday was this outgoing blenheim female. Her family had a second meeting after deciding they wanted to wait, and they all realized now was the time after all!! She’s heading to southern CA to begin her new life in the sunshine!!

The sixth puppy matched will be accelerated and stay here until after Christmas. The small sable/white female is going to a family with two excited little girls!!

The fourth and fifth puppies to go home will happen next Friday, November 22. I will fly to San Francisco, CA, with the golden male and my husband will fly to Ontario, CA, with the solid sable male.

This brings me to exciting news. The blenheim male could join either of our trips for half price nanny service!! He’s a beautiful, calm boy with a loving, laid back personality, waiting for his forever home to choose him!!

Please reach out via email or phone if you’re interested in the blenheim male.

Looking ahead: I’ve heard from two families that are ready to send a deposit for a new litter. Please let me know if you’re interested in a future puppy and would like to get on the waiting list. If you’re already on the waiting list, let me know you’re ready for a pup from our next litter.

Regarding the waiting list, I’ll be posting it soon so we can clean it up.

Happy Fall to everyone! 🍁🍂

Tommy “Cadbury” Pupdate

Here’s a Pupdate from the Missy litter. This boy flew down to CA with me on July 11th. He was a perfect traveler and it sounds like he’s adjusting well!!

Hi Kristy, What an amazing addition to our family. Tommy has definitely “wiggled “ his way into our hearts lol! He’s doing really well. You can definitely tell the amount of time and effort that you guys put into this! We thank you so much for our sweet little boy! He has been comfortable in his crate since day one and he’s doing pretty well with potty training, after all he’s just a baby lol.. the snuggle puppy is a must and giving us one from you with all the smells Wow, so smart!! Thanks for helping make this a smooth transition. We absolutely love our little boy Tommy. God bless you and your family. Melanie

He is the fluffiest thing!!

Thanks for the photos. He looks fantastic!!!

Dash and Bodhi Pupdate

What cute boys! Thanks for the pupdate!!

Hi Kristy,

I saw your message that Dash’s sister, Scarlett, just had another litter and realized that I’m way overdue in sending you an update on how our new puppy, Bodhi, is doing. He is from Penny and Big Boy’s December 2021 litter and is about twice the size as our first Cavachon, Dash (formerly known as Rhett). He is just over 33 pounds, athletic, boisterous, talkative, impossible to ignore, and an all-around lovable rogue. He is obsessed with playing fetch, loves doing tricks for treats, and gives the best hugs and snuggles.

We worried initially that Dash, who is 11 years old now, wouldn’t enjoy having a puppy around but Dash accepted him right away. Though they have completely opposite personalities, they are buddies and do not like being separated. Our older dog, who is quite the proper gentleman, lets us know when Bodhi is being naughty and Bodhi does his best to make sure that Dash gets his exercise in every day, enticing him into post-meal wrestling sessions and frequent squirrel chases in our backyard. They are a perfect pair. Their antics keep us entertained and we are so glad to have them both.

Thanks for all that you do, Kristy!!

Best Regards,

Holly, John, Audrey, and Callum

Ummmmm…what’s happening here???!!!

Benny

I love getting updates about the puppies! This is the largest male from the Missy litter. He went home at eight weeks old.

Hi Kristy. I keep forgetting to send you the name that I picked for Big Boy. I named him Benny. I had originally thought that I might name him Jack Jr., but that is such a pointy, sharp name and he is so round and soft that it just didn’t fit. He’s doing really well and has brought a lot of life to the house. And he’s doing ok on the house training. He is completely comfortable in his crates and has slept through the night since the beginning (lucky for me). The snuggle puppy is a hit. I keep it in the crate that’s in my bedroom and I find him sleeping on top of it. Thank you so much for all the work you do to bring these wonderful puppies into the world. I just love my boy. Silver Paw News Flash

Hi Everyone!

We successfully matched all of the Missy pups over the weekend. Here’s a quick recap!

What’s next? Scarlett’s litter was born June 20 and we have a close eye on them to make sure everyone is gaining weight!

5 girls, 3 boys

We are taking names from anyone interested in the Scarlett litter. Those with a waiting list number (meaning you are currently on our waiting list) will have priority over anyone without a waiting list number. Right now we have three families on the Scarlett litter list, two from the waiting list and one other.

Stay tuned on FB and IG for photo and video updates on all the puppies!

In July we are expecting a litter from Emily. She is a blenheim Cavalier which means ALL of her puppies will also be blenheim in color (that’s the apricot & white coloring). I’ll post a picture of Emily soon.

It’s great to be surrounded by puppies again!! I enjoyed the break and it was long overdue, but it feels comfy and fun to be in puppy mode again!

Colorado and Puppy Availability Update

Hi Everyone,

After speaking with several families, we did find a forever home for our adventure traveler puppy that found himself accidentally in Colorado!

Brothers

Do we get a pass for mixing them up?? Puppy on the right traveled when it should have been puppy on the left.

It’s almost like he’s saying, “No, I was the one who should have traveled!”

But traveler puppy is settling in and getting to know all his new family members!

Two of the three children in the family!
He also has a new big sister!
What a trooper with all his traveling!

A big shout out to Susan and Don, who received him and lovingly fostered him while we found him his forever home. Her actual puppy will head to CO tomorrow to begin his adventure.

Today, the last Dutchess girl is going home.

And two families will be looking at the golden puppies from the Mercedes litter. They are 10 weeks old and all ready for their new homes!

We have had a lot of people show interest in the solid sable puppy but nobody has committed yet. We also still have both golden girls available. I think we are down to the last three puppies from this litter of eight, though none have left the property yet!

It’s crazy puppy town around here right now, though after tomorrow we will have just the Mercedes eight.

Happy Autumn!!

Three or Four Available Puppies

Hi Everyone!

The Penny puppies have started going home. There are still three boys and one pending female available (pretty sure she will be going home on Sunday).

These puppies have such good temperaments, they are happy, bouncy, and playful and fun! They’ve got great color, nice coats, current on vaccinations and worming, and they are ready to go now!

Give us a call if you’re looking for a puppy!! 509-936-2715

Golden boy

Such regal puppies!! They are currently nine weeks old, mostly litter-box trained, and have some crate experience. They are all bundles of laughs and fun!!

Their siblings have already gone home!

Blenheim female – This is their 2nd Silver Paw Cavachon!!
Golden Female – This golden girl totally chose them!! What a doll!
Golden male – This is their 3rd Cavachon from us!! Love when people come back for more love!!

Beautiful Bunty

Today is Bunty’s 4th birhday, Bastille Day. Her mom was Kenzie and her dad was Kingsley. She is 11 lbs. and almost entirely black with a white soul patch, a small white patch on her breast and a few white toes. What an unbelievably loving and lovable companion she has been! I waited a long time to get a small black puppy and was rewarded with Bunty. She loves everyone and wants to say hello to people and other dogs when we walk, but is easily contained if that’s not a good idea. She especially likes to chase balls (still not quite ready to “leave them” everytime) and to sleep on my lap when she gets tired. She and kitty get along famously. She sleeps with me and usually ends up under the covers before dawn (my choice — I could have trained he to sleep in a crate). She is a joy!

Love those black beauties. We only get solid black pups 1-2 times per year, so it’s definitely a more rare color. Kenzie, her mama, has been retired because she struggled during birth both times she had puppies. She is living a happy life with a family, walks, and cozy beds and treats!

“Sisters”

Bella and Daisy aren’t actually sisters, but they are close enough. With just three months separating their birthdays (late 2018 & early 2019), they seems to be like two peas in a pod.

I couldn’t resist sharing this adorable photo of them with their tongues sticking out!

Also, if you’re wondering about their colors, the dog on the left is an adult solid sable and the right is a blenheim.

If you’d like to share your Silver Paw Cavachon on the blog, send an update with a bit of info (please include parents and birthday if possible) and some photos and I’d be happy to post here on the blog. It’s so fun to hear what the dogs can do now and how they have become part of the family.
