New Numbers and Updates

Hi Everyone!

Please check the waiting list as some of your numbers may have changed. I have removed those that were matched to the Mimi litter and another couple families that found a puppy elsewhere.

I plan to post the Maddie puppies tomorrow (four solid sable males) and get the process started for that litter. There will be a Google form that you will need to fill out if you’d like to be considered for one of her puppies. They will be ready in about three weeks. I will post all the details tomorrow for her litter.

I’d also like to be sure that everyone understands that I need you to follow this blog, read all the posts as they happen, in order to not miss any of the information. I am not able to keep a running spreadsheet of who wants what color, size, gender, and all the specific timelines for over 100 families, so I depend on each of you to reach out to me when you see a litter that has a puppy you may want.

I know I’ve said this before but I want to thank all of you who have been following along and staying current with everything that is happening. For now, the Maddie pups are the only pups that we have that are not matched so we will be having a fairly quiet March. Scarlett did get bred so we are hoping to welcome a litter of F1b puppies at the end of March.

For those that have been following the bit that I’ve shared about my mom, she is with me now so I won’t have to be traveling back and forth to California until it’s time for her to go back home. She is gaining strength, going to Physical Therapy, and generally improving each day. Thank you to all of you that sent heartfelt notes. I really felt the love and care coming from all of you!

The Mimi List

Hi Everyone!

The Mimi litter list is closed and it’s time to show you who I will be calling next week.

I’ve divided the list into groups of five. My guess is that I may get down to #10, but chances are the puppies will be matched even before that.

Let’s have some fun guessing how this could shake out. Do remember that nobody is locked into anything and people do change their minds and final decisions haven’t been made yet.

But if we go strictly by what everyone has indicated in their preferences, it might look something like this…

Deborah-B/W male

Renee-Blaze golden girl

MargieScott-Other golden girl

Kathleen-Blenheim male

Howard, Lily, Libby-pass because all the girls are already selected

Krista-Other blenheim male

Now things rarely go this smoothly, but this should give everyone an inside glance at what could happen. This also helps you know whether you’ll potentially get a call or not.

On puppy matching day I’ll call in this list order until I’ve matched all the puppies. Then I will post a new blog post congratulating everyone. I will not call the rest of the list so do keep checking the blog for my update.

Let’s do puppy selection Tuesday evening starting at 6pm. Does that work for everyone? I can do FaceTime with those that have an iPhone.

Please let me know if that doesn’t work for you. It’s very important that you’re able to take a call that evening as I don’t want to skip over anyone.

The puppies will be ready to go home after February 13. We’d like them to go by the 19th at the latest.

Please email if you have questions and I want to thank everyone who reached out and filled out the litter form. My guess is that this time we probably won’t get too far down the list, but honestly, you just never know!

Mimi Litter Selection

Just a quick reminder that today, until 8pm is the last chance to get your name on the litter list for Mimi’s litter. This is for those already on our main waiting list.

Here is the link to the form.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBgD5uwGPpJAeweUEIrbvss4fKGolcPYxCy-Q3hmcOUfWyqw/viewform

We will begin puppy selection next week when I’m back from CA. I’ll post the order of selection tonight once I close the form. Currently, 22 people have responded for the 5 puppies.

Remember that after Mimi’s litter, we have four solid sable males from Maddie’s litter.

“Bailey,”large male from Penny, went home yesterday. The story is on my Instagram and Facebook pages. Here he is with his new family! The mural gave the illusion of mouse ears!! This is the second dog for the S family. They have a black/white dog, “Booker,” that they bought from us 12 years ago. He’s still going strong and I can’t wait to hear when he decides to be good friends with his new little brother. It can often take a couple weeks before the existing dog warms up to the new puppy!!

Thanks to everyone for following along!

Mimi Puppy Selection

Hi Everyone!

As I promised, here is the blog post for the Mimi litter. There is a new video of them on Facebook. They will be ready for their new homes after February 13th. We would like them all to go home the following week if possible.

They were born December 19, 2020 and it is an F1 litter. They are looking to be on the average to small side. Mom is 12-13lbs and dad is 16 lbs. Kingsley has been my male that has produced the smallest babies and Mimi is a new mom so I don’t have any data from past litters for her.

If you’re interested in being considered for this litter, please fill out the litter form here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBgD5uwGPpJAeweUEIrbvss4fKGolcPYxCy-Q3hmcOUfWyqw/viewform

The Facebook video is here:

There are 5 puppies in the litter. The Google form will be open until 8pm Saturday, February 6th. I will then compile the names in waiting list order and let you know when I’ll start making calls.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Penny Litter, Be Ready Sunday

Hi Everyone!

I’ve closed out the Google Form for the Penny litter and compiled the names of everyone who was interested. Please be ready tomorrow (Sunday) January 31, beginning at 10am. I will be calling (and face timing those with iPhones).

I will call people in the order listed below. If I call and nobody answers, I WILL MOVE ON TO THE NEXT PERSON, and when I’m done with them, I will try calling you back again. It’s very important that you don’t miss my call and get skipped as there are only two pups and this could be very disappointing if I have to skip you. I will use the phone number provided in the Google form.

Here is the calling order for Penny’s litter:

1. #65 Bobbi S, Male

2. #70 Amy H, Female, Male

3. #80 Krista Y, Female, Male

4. #81 LynnCraig A, Male

5. #90 Summer K, Male

6. #99 Holly W, Female, Male

7. #110 GaryPam W, Male

Once both puppies are matched, I will post again on the blog letting everyone know. I will not call the rest of the list to let you know the pups are matched.

I am planning to take pictures of the Mimi and Maddie pups tomorrow and make a blog post for the litter interest form for Mimi’s puppies. They are 6 weeks old so we need to get them matched soon as well.

I think that wraps things up for now. These two are ready for their new homes!

Penny Puppy Selection

Hi Everyone,

I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from me. I’ve been caring for my mom and back and forth to California a few times. Things aren’t totally settled yet but I am home and it’s time to match the Penny puppies.

There are two puppies in this litter, a girl and a boy. They will be ready to begin going home Friday, February 5th. They will see the vet for their health certificate on Thursday the 4th.

These are going to be large dogs when they are adults. Here are a couple photos with their current weights listed as well.

Female, 4lbs 3oz
Male, 5 lbs 10 oz

To give some perspective, most of our puppies are 3.5-4lbs when they leave and they are 8 weeks old. These puppies are just 7 weeks old, and at those weights I guesstimate that they will be from 22-28 lbs as adults. they will be what is called a “Megachon”!!

We will be matching these puppies on Sunday. I will begin calling people at 10am and I will be available to do FaceTime with those that have an iPhone.

There is a new video of these puppies on our Facebook page, Silver Paw Cavachons.

If you are on our waiting list and would like to be considered for this litter, please fill out this form by clicking the link below.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScDns1eCw1D4tq6cdfLY1UZNZDi9Sgp7gaJKJUjmRiBSemV7A/viewform

It asks for some basic info that helps keep me organized as I begin to make the phone calls. I will post the call list before Sunday and I will accept forms until 8pm on Saturday night.

Please let me know via email of you have any questions about the process.

Kristy🐶😊💕

PS…For those asking, my mom is back in the hospital but stable. She was ready to be discharged Wednesday and then her A-fib acted up and she got a UTI. So they are keeping her a few more days for observation. I’ll post periodic updates here because we live two states away and I’m the only family she has to help her through this time in her life. She’s 85 and just had knee replacement surgery. We are hoping for a full recovery and for her to be independent again if possible. Her ongoing care will be a big priority in my life so the next couple litters may be similar to this one in that there won’t be much said until it’s time for them to be going home. Be assured that they are being cared for daily like normal. Nothing has changed there.

On that note, for those that like to plan ahead, here is what we have coming up:

Mimi & Kingsley, F1, 5 pups, ready February 14. Two golden females, two blenheim males, one black/white male.

Maddie & Finn, F1, ready March 9. Four solid sable males.

I will try to post pictures of the two newer litters this weekend. As you consider the puppies determine first if one will fit into your timeline. Then decide if you like the gender/color combos. If both of those are a yes, you’ll want to fill out the litter form for that litter when I post it. We will talk personality details once you’re actually in a position to get one of the puppies.

Blessings to everyone! KP

Waiting List Update

Hi Everyone,

I’ve done another waiting list update. I finally pulled off all the names of everyone who bought puppies from the past 4-5 litters. I’ve also added all the new names of people that have recently sent waiting list fees, AND I’ve removed the names of people that reached out and let me know they no longer want to be on the waiting list.

This means you likely have a new waiting list number and you’ll need to use that in your correspondence with me. These are the numbers we will use to match the next three litters, Penny, Mimi, and Maddie (did I mention that Maddie had four solid sable male puppies last week?).

I will be posting pictures of the puppies next week and we will begin puppy selection with Penny’s litter of two. I will post the Google Form for those interested in the Penny pups. I can let you know now that there is a very large male (likely a megachon), and a big female, and both are blenheim in color.

And back to the waiting list, if your name is missing, please let me know via email. When people leave comments here on the blog they are the last thing I see and I often don’t respond to them. Email is best and if things are urgent, call me.

If you’ve recently inquired about a puppy, you should be receiving an email soon. We are still accepting names for the waiting list. Wait times for a puppy are difficult to determine but it’s safe to say at least 6-12 months if you get on the list now.

Let me know if you have any questions—via email!!!
