What’s in the Nursery?

Hi Everyone!

We have some puppies looking for homes. Four to be exact.

First, we have Buddy, the blenheim male Cavachon, accelerated puppy. He is taking daily walks on the leash and learning to use the doggie door and actively being crate trained. He is a lover boy and ready for his new home any day!

He is such a people person and he is curious and eager and just plain fun!

Here we are on our most recent walk with Buddy and Scarlett practicing stops and gos.

Next up are two Bichon Frise boys, very playful, and should range from 12-16 lbs as adults.

These guys essentially look the same and they are both a bundle of white fluff.

These boys are currently seven weeks old and will be ready for their new homes next week.

Lastly, we have a four week old Cavachon male, sable and white.

If you know the back story of the dogs, you’ll know that it all started to pay for piano lessons for my children. Now that they’re all grown and out of the house, and since I’m no longer taking lessons at this time, and I’ve cut way back on the number of litters we are having each year, and since Scarlett’s is getting up there in age, it felt fitting to keep a puppy or two for ourselves.

When Missy had this litter with a solid gold (my favorite color) and solid black puppy (too gorgeous to let go), I couldn’t stop thinking about naming them Ebony and Ivory to honor the years of piano and the fulfillment of my dream to have the dogs pay for my children to have music lessons.

So in this litter, we are keeping the two solid girls, and little Beethoven (sable/white male) is looking for a forever home.

I’ve also decided to donate the sale of one puppy per litter to our local worthy student fund so kids can have access to private education.

Ebony will be known as “Bunny” and Ivory will be known as “Ivy”. Here’s a video I took yesterday of the litter.

In future news, both Lacey and Lizzy, two female Bichons that have never had puppies, tied with Duke, a proven black/tan Cavalier male at the beginning of September, so if they are pregnant, we will expect two new litters at the beginning of November with puppies ready to go home just after the new year.

That is our news! I hope everyone is doing well and let me know if you’re ready for a puppy. The waiting list has been very quiet recently so it’s basically first come first serve.

Last Puppy, A Surprise, and What’s Coming Next!

Hi Everyone!

We have enjoyed our two litters of puppies this summer. Of the nine, five have gone home, three more go home in the next two weeks, and we have one last boy available!

What a sweet boy he is, energetic, happy, a total lover, yet spunky too! He’s had two sets of shots, been wormed three times, and he’s ready to go anytime!

He’s got really vibrant blenheim color and he should be from 17-22 lbs as an adult. He loves belly rubs and snuggles! Please reach out via email or text if you’re interested in this boy!

Now, what is the surprise?? It’s a litter of purebred Bichon Frise puppies. There is one female and three boys. We plan to keep the girl and a boy, but we will be looking for homes for two of the boys. Let me know if you want a Bichon puppy! We don’t have the purebreds that often!

Finally, what’s coming up? We have Missy in the nursery, big and fat with puppies from Big Boy. We are crossing our fingers for a sable/white female as we know there’s at least one family that has been waiting for that combo for a while now. Truth is, we could get any of the eight Cavachon colors: blenheim, sable/white, black/white or tri color for the parti colors, and black, solid sable, black/tan, and golden for the solid colors. I can’t wait to see what comes out! She is due this month so puppies should be ready to go home in the beginning of October.

So that’s the recent news! Enjoy photos of the puppies that have gone home in July!

Mercedes’ Blenheim Female, owner flew to pick her up!
Mercedes’ Sable/White Male, owner flew in to pick him up!
Mercedes’ Blenheim Female, owner flew in to pick her up!
Mercedes’ Golden Female, I flew to Sacramento to deliver (ask us about our puppy nanny service).
Mercedes’ Blenheim Female, drove to our home to choose her, then came back to pick her up when she was old enough!

I hope all the puppies are doing well! Thank you to all of you who became part of the Silver Paw family for the first time, or second or third time!!

Two Litters Now

Hi Everyone!

We planned for three litters this summer, and litter number two has now been born! Mercedes and Big Boy had their puppies a week after Emily. Here’s the first look at her pups!

There are six puppies in this litter, five girls and one boy. The sable/white puppy is the boy (brown and white).

These puppies will also be ready mid July, a perfect time to bring a new puppy into your home!

Looking forward to hearing from all of you. We are pretty wide open for puppy availability right now, so if you’re wanting a puppy this summer, we have NINE now that are looking for new homes!

Last Puppy

Hello Everyone!

We’ve had a busy weekend sending three puppies to their forever homes!

Solid Sable Female

The first to go was the solid sable female. She’s heading out of state to a wonderful new family!! Her new name is “Syrup” and she’s definitely a sweetie!

Golden Female

The next to go weathered a mountain pass on the first day we had snow here at home. They had come in person to choose their “Honey” girl and she is now safely home beginning her new life!!

Blenheim Female

The final pup to leave yesterday was this outgoing blenheim female. Her family had a second meeting after deciding they wanted to wait, and they all realized now was the time after all!! She’s heading to southern CA to begin her new life in the sunshine!!

The sixth puppy matched will be accelerated and stay here until after Christmas. The small sable/white female is going to a family with two excited little girls!!

The fourth and fifth puppies to go home will happen next Friday, November 22. I will fly to San Francisco, CA, with the golden male and my husband will fly to Ontario, CA, with the solid sable male.

This brings me to exciting news. The blenheim male could join either of our trips for half price nanny service!! He’s a beautiful, calm boy with a loving, laid back personality, waiting for his forever home to choose him!!

Please reach out via email or phone if you’re interested in the blenheim male.

Looking ahead: I’ve heard from two families that are ready to send a deposit for a new litter. Please let me know if you’re interested in a future puppy and would like to get on the waiting list. If you’re already on the waiting list, let me know you’re ready for a pup from our next litter.

Regarding the waiting list, I’ll be posting it soon so we can clean it up.

Happy Fall to everyone! 🍁🍂

WE HAVE PUPPIES!!

Whew!! It’s our first (and probably last) litter for 2024, and we were blessed with seven beautiful babies from Missy and Jack.

They will be ready my birthday weekend, November 14-17, and I am available to puppy nanny to southern California-Ontario Airport-Thursday evening, November 14th. Depending on my flight, I also may be able to do a quick delivery in Seattle.

We have two families that are definitely getting puppies from this litter. I know one is looking specifically at the sable/white female or the blenheim female, and the other family is still considering their options.

After they both choose, there are still five gorgeous puppies available! The colored stuffed bone indicates whether the puppy is a girl or a boy. We basically have one of each color/gender plus the sable/white little girlie.

I expect all of these puppies to be the average size of 15-20 lbs as adults. Their coats are very typical for the Cavachon- nice and wavy.

Please reach out if you’re interested in this litter. We do have a slumbering waiting list with quite a few people, but I need you to reach out to me in order to be considered for these puppies.

They are currently just over two weeks old which means they will be ready in about six weeks.

Please get in touch with us if you’re ready for a puppy. Pricing and purchase details will be sent via email.

Time For Puppy Selection

Hi Everyone!

It’s time for choosing puppies from the Olivia and Mercedes litters. These are the names I currently have for choosing from the two litters. The waiting list number is after the name.

1. Todd Williams #15

2. AnneMarie Bammert #17

3. Lee Lahoud #42

4. Stacey Foraker #43

5. Debbie Hashimoto #44

6. Cindy Essex (not on main waiting list but interested in a puppy)

As you can see, there are plenty of puppies to go around! Please reach out to me and provide your best phone number. I’d like to start talking details about the puppies!

These will likely be our last puppies until next spring simply because we are not seeing enough demand for puppies to keep breeding through the winter.

It’s time to clean up the list again. There are 40+ people on my waiting list. I need to hear from you if you’d like to stay on the list. It’s ok if you’ve changed plans, but it would be really nice if you could let me know.

Here are the available puppies from Mercedes and Olivia. We also still have a blenheim male from Scarlett, a blenheim male from Emily, two black males from Mimi, and a black & white male from Mimi. All these boys are going to make amazing pets. Boy dogs fall in love with you and are often really affectionate!!

Would love to hear from anyone looking for a puppy!! KP

Mimi’s Litter Plus Two

Hi Everyone!

We’ve been busy sending the Scarlett and Emily puppies to their new homes! We have one puppy still available from each of those litters, Marshmallow from the Scarlett litter, and Phantom from the Emily litter.

Phantom
Marshmallow (the cream one)

Both of these puppies are friendly, playful, and happy go lucky! They will be wonderful pets and both are ready to go anytime!

We have another litter that is now five weeks old and we are taking names for these puppies. They are the crew from Mimi, a small Bichon Frise! Dad is a black/tan Cavalier and we got all the rarest colors in this litter!

L-R Black/Tan M, Golden F, Black/White M, Black M, Golden F, Black M

Here they are one by one!

All of the black colors are rare and we don’t see them very often. If you are wanting a black or black and white puppy, this is your opportunity. These puppies should also be on the smaller side. I’m expecting them to be from 12-16lbs as adults.

They will be ready to go home in about three weeks and I’d like to start puppy selection this coming week. Please let me know if you’d like your name added to this litter list. So far I have:

1. Richard M (black/tan pup)

2. Anne Marie B

3. Kathy K (female only)

These puppies will be ready for their new homes after September 28th. Please send us an email if you’re interested!

Posted on Instagram Today (lots of updates)

Hey Everyone,

Just in case you’re not following us on Instagram (@silverpawcavachons…and you should be!!), here’s what is happening over there today.

We’ve named the Scarlett puppies! Smokey got his name first and we just took his lead and gave everyone campfire names!

We did official photos yesterday and there is a roll call video of them on IG.

This was the smallest puppy in the litter. We helped him along for a bit with supplemental feeding. He’s eating solid food and holding his own with the crowd. He has a tighter curl in his coat. Solid Sable, but a Smokey, grey/brown color.
Adorable little pup with a typical Cavachon coat. Solid Sable, nice carmel brown color. Playful and sweet!
Most outgoing puppy in the litter. Bounds into your lap. Wants to meet everyone! Blenheim, curly coat.
Sweet golden girl, curly looking golden coat. She has a small white star on her head!
Small like her brother Smokey. Very light golden cream color. Typical Cavachon coat. Friendly and playful!
This is the girlie with the kiss spot on her head. Dark sable brown color, curly coat.
Playful and fun little girl. Happy and friendly!
Largest sable/white girl, light brown sable color. Bouncy, happy, and playful!

Scarlett’s puppies are really interacting with each other and playing hard, then sleeping well!! They will be ready to go home August 15th.

Emily’s litter also got their names. One puppy has a phantom face, meaning his apricot patch covers an entire side of his face. I knew he had to be the Phantom, so then looked up the other characters from the Musical and found all the boy names! We haven’t quite assigned their names yet, except for Phantom, but we will as soon as I can tell them all apart!! Right now they look pretty similar!

The timing works out for me to bring puppies to CA in September if there is anyone down there wanting a puppy delivered. Space is limited so reach out soon if you’re interested.

Current litter list for the Scarlett litter is: Priscilla N (7) Female, Priscilla N (8) Male, Clair R (38) Female, Gale G (40) Female, Robin C (45) Female, Kathy K (48) Female, Kaira Rouda (50) Female, Julie R Golden Female, John D Male

This is the current order for those choosing a Scarlett pup, the waiting list numbers, and gender preference. While there are eight pups and eight choices (Priscilla is getting two), there still could be puppies available if everything doesn’t line up perfectly with color and gender. I’ll be reaching out to people this week for puppy selection.

Current litter list (so far) for the Emily Litter is: Kristen N (37), Carol I (42), Ileen C (46), Vikas S (49). Still two more available puppies!!

IF YOU’VE ASKED TO BE ON A LITTER LIST AND I’VE MISSED YOUR NAME, please reach out and let me know and I’ll get you added!!

We are waiting for the Mimi pups to be born any day now!!

Ok, I think that is everything for now!!

Kristy 😊💕🐶

Cocoa Bean AKA “Bean” and Updates

Hey Everyone!

Here’s another update from a puppy from the Missy litter. This is the little solid sable girlie! She will be living in Southern California, but is adventuring in Montana right now!

Hi Kristy ,
Bean is settling right in ! And Mack’s tail is almost always wagging 🙂 . He can’t quite understand why she gets food and toys that he doesn’t . So ultimately he gets all the toys
😂.
She is a doll ! Sleeps 8 hours ,uses her litter pad 99.9% of the time ,
And is a busy little thing . I luf her
❤️!

Thanks you for giving your pups such a great start on life !

Dana

Too cute…both of them in that giant bed!! Bean says, “I’d rather snuggle with my big brother”!!!

Love getting these updates!

Here’s what’s happening next. The Scarlett puppies are six weeks old this coming week. I’ll do a blog post just about them and also post some videos on Facebook.

Emily’s litter is almost three weeks old. They have just opened their eyes and they’re starting to toddle around on their legs.

Mimi, a small Bichon, is pregnant with Duke’s puppies (F1). They should be born by mid August.

I’m taking names for the Scarlett puppies until they are six weeks old on August 1st. We will begin puppy selection with them this coming week.

That’s about it for now. Thanks for following along and don’t hesitate to send an email with questions.

🐶💕😊 Kristy
