My afternoon was short and to the point and there were no surprises. Both women got their first choice puppy and it’s such a happy day when that happens.
To those still waiting, please don’t hesitate to reach out again when the next litter is born if you see a puppy that you’d like to bring into your life.
Congratulations Lori B!
Congratulations Linda H!
Until then…blessings and a big measure of patience! 😍
Today is the big day for Allie’s litter. It’s time to talk details and match these two boys to their forever homes!
I’m hoping to get some new video for you all to see before I start calling people at 3:00pm.
Remember, if I cannot reach you after thoroughly trying, I will be forced to move down to the next person on my list.
Here is the plan for today.
We have six families interested in the two available puppies. Chances are the top two families will each take a pup, but you never know. Once both puppies are matched, I’ll post a new photo of this page in a new blog post showing the final selections. (I wish there were more puppies in this litter😢)
Please remember this…
Don’t give up, great things take time!
We are hoping for a new litter born in May from Penny and Jack. If we do have puppies from these parents, there will only be blenheim and solid red/apricot colors.
I hope everyone is staying physically well and that you’re taking care of your mental health as well. I can say that mid March to mid April was one of the roughest 4 weeks I’ve ever experienced in my life, but things are sinking back into a routine now, and I’m able to look forward with some anticipation for what is coming in the future.
I’m glad to have dogs and puppies to love on during this difficult time! 🐶🐶🐶
Puppy matching day for Allie’s litter will be when they are 5 weeks old, which is April 28th. On that day, we will be calling (or emailing) each of the families that have shown an interest in this litter. We will begin calling at 3pm and we will simply work down our list. It doesn’t hurt to reach out and make sure we have your current and best phone number to reach you.
We will also continue to accept names from our waiting list until April 27th at midnight. Right now, the following people have reached out to me about these pups:
#3 Lori B
#14 Linda H
#42 Mary K
#43 Denise D
#48 LeslieMatt
If something unexpected happens and we go through all of these names and there is still an available puppy, we will post the puppy here on the website as an available puppy.
If you are currently on our waiting list, or get added before April 27th and want to add your name to this list, please send an email to let me know.
The puppies are maturing well. We will begin clicker training this weekend and we are beginning to play different sounds for them as well.
I just finally responded to everyone’s email. The past month has been incredibly stressful for the world and our little life and Silver Paw has not escaped the change of pace and added layers of concern and worry about all the details of life.
Unexpectedly, with everyone suddenly stuck at home, puppies have been in huge demand. I have never received so many inquiries about puppies, which resulted in the closing of our waiting list.
As a full time school teacher, the sudden thrust into distance learning, coupled with 13 puppies that were the exact same age, almost put me over the edge of what I could handle all at once, and dealing with the dozens and dozens of emails was the one thing I needed to put on hold.
I have told some of you I would open our waiting list in May. I decided, now that things have calmed down a bit, and the 13 puppies all made it home safely, that I can talk to people again and open up the waiting list now.
But first, here are the details. Right now there are 48 people on the waiting list. We currently have 2 Cavachon puppies, 8 purebred Cavalier puppies, and a litter of Cavachon puppies hopefully due in May. Litter sizes range from 3-6, sometimes more and sometimes less. We are also retiring several of our females so we are expecting fewer litters born in the coming year.
The number one question that I get is, “How long will it take for me to get a puppy?” Unfortunately, it is very difficult to answer this question. It depends on so many variables and it’s next to impossible to really give an accurate answer because I don’t know what people on the waiting list will do.
I also don’t know how many litters we will have or how many puppies will be in each litter, so many things are out of my control.
If any of you would still like to get in line for a Silver Paw puppy, we are happy to have you join the list. But I really can’t tell you how long the wait will be. I can confidently say that the wait will be worth it!!
We feel blessed to bring happiness to so many families. We wish we had more puppies but we also understand the work required to raise quality puppies and we limit the number of dogs that we own so we can be deliberate about each puppy , to bring the best puppies into each of your homes.
As I’ve said so many times, thank you for your patience! We look forward to working with each of you to find you just the right puppy!
Thirteen puppies are all ready to leave. We got the last health certificates today, fit collars and leashes on each puppy, and we’ve started to put together their puppy packs. We are bringing extra food for those that were not able to get the brand we are using. Bring an extra ziplock so we can fill it with extra food for your pup.
The first row on the left, we are driving to deliver those pups. The middle row are puppies that are flying. And the row on the right is coming to our house to pick them up.
If your puppy is part of this group, watch for an email with more details about pickup location, flight information, etc.
If you haven’t already, be sure to order the NuVet Pet Supplements. We have found these to really help with the transition from our home to yours. Plus, they just boost the immune system which is important to the health of your puppy and dog. They are learning to take the vitamins out of our hands like treats. All of them currently get 1/2 tablet. When they reach 5 lbs, they can have a whole tablet. (Buy the tablets not the powder)
Because we are traveling with so many puppies, you should probably plan on your pup needing a bath shortly after arriving home. We can’t promise how clean they might be!!
They are all stinkin cute right now and full of shenanigans!! You’re all going to love them!!

We have so been enjoying the nice weather! What a blessing to be home and to be outside.
I appreciate how many people are interested in our puppies. Every day there are new emails for me to read and so many of you are wanting a Cavachon puppy.
Because we only have two puppies right now, and 40 people on our waiting list, I’m going to close the waiting list and not accept new applications at this time.
Between trying to coordinate travel for the 13 current puppies ready this weekend, a new litter of two Cavachons, a new litter of Cavaliers, adult dogs needing vet checks, and me being back to school, now trying to navigate distance learning for my students, I just can’t manage new names right now.
I expect that when things calm down a bit and we have some new puppies, I will be ready to speak with new families.
Thank you for understanding during this difficult time. Everything feels pretty overwhelming right now and this seems like one place I can push the pause button even for just a couple weeks.
I will post again when we are ready to take new applications.
Within minutes, a family on the waiting list called and made a commitment to the golden pup! I wasn’t surprised. Thank you to everyone who called and emailed! For now, we have the two Allie pups. Here is another picture of them!
I’ve been responding to emails the last couple days letting everyone know that our current puppies have all been matched.
But yesterday, a family decided they weren’t quite ready for a puppy and now the little solid gold male from Paisley’s litter is available.
Here he is!He decided to sleep on TOP of everyone else!!
He will be from 12-16 lbs as an adult. He will be ready to go home on April 10th. Please call me if you’re interested in him. 509-936-2715
In other news, we had new puppies born a week ago. Allie has two boys, golden and solid sable. If you’re on our waiting list and want to put your name down for either of these boys, please let me know.
I’m back to school…sort of. As you all know, “school” has become an effort of electronic instruction, a big learning curve for everyone. I’m balancing my job with the puppies which is always a fun challenge.
I plan to reach out to the current buyers very soon so we can finalize details about puppy delivery and pick up. Everyone is doing well. There are 4 new videos of each litter on our Facebook page. I loaded them this morning!
