My email is buzzing now with response to the news of Penny’s litter. I’ve had some good email conversations and I want to share one that I think could be especially helpful for many others. Here are screen shots of our email thread.
So, I wanted to share this to emphasize again that it’s very difficult for me to know how long things will take and whether there are puppies available because there are so many moving parts to all of this. If Cara wants a girl, but they’re both selected, then suddenly we’re talking to Joey at #55 yet he is the 4th person I’m talking to on the Litter List. And at this point, nobody should get their heart set on anything because it’s only been a few hours since I shared the first photos and likely there will be several others that will emerge from the woodwork of the waiting list.
Hopefully this gives some insider info into the complexity of puppy selection, yet this method truly works beautifully to keep everyone in order.

Thank you Kristy. I was not aware that I needed to state my preference at this point. We want a darker dog so for this litter our preference is female only. Looks like I’ll probably be waiting for the next litters, but let’s see what happens in the coming weeks. Renee

You didn’t need to state any preferences. I only listed those for the people that specifically said they were interested in specific puppies.
You work so hard to get these puppies matched right! I am waiting for another but it will be a year or so. Thanks. Carol

This is none of my business but just wanted you to know I have two 23 pound females and I think they are the perfect size. They both can get up in my lap at the same time but yet they aren’t right under our feet all the time. We are seniors so this size works well for us. And I’ve had male dogs and females and there is no comparison. The girls are so much more calm and so loving. I had the male when we were younger and that was fine but the girls are perfect over 50 dogs. Good luck. You are making a wise choice with the Cavachon. They are perfect dogs.
