I’m getting ready to order my dog planner for 2023 and I need 18 photos! This is the planner cover I’m choosing and I’d like to replace all these square blocks of color with dog photos!
Email me your best pictures of your Silver Paws and I’ll choose 18 of them to be on my planner cover!
I cannot stress this enough. I’m not yelling. I just want people to understand how important this is. I receive dozens of emails and more, especially when I’ve posted available puppies. Communication gets very complicated when some people use email, others text, and still others leave comments on FB, message me on FB, or message me on IG. I CANNOT keep up with all the avenues of communication, 100% things get lost in FB comments, and I ask that you please use email to reach out to me.
You have to open a new email and type this in the address bar:
silverpawcavachons@gmail.com
Please do the following when you reach out (and again, I’m not yelling, just trying to stress the importance!!…
YOU MUST SPECIFY WHICH PUPPIES AND LITTERS FOR WHICH YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED.
YOU MUST PROVIDE A CURRENT PHONE NUMBER THAT I CAN USE TO CALL YOU.
IF YOURE ALREADY ON THE WAITING LIST, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
I’ve already lost some communication about the black/tan male (so far the most popular puppy) from someone who maybe texted, left a blog comment, or maybe a FB message???? that person is NOT yet added to the litter list for this pup because i can’t find where they reached out. I NEED all puppy selection communication to he via email ONLY!!
On September 16, we decided to take a small break from breeding Cavachons for a few months. We knew some dogs had already been bred so we’ve been waiting for them all to be born, and I’m happy to announce that they are all here!
This post is going to share all of the puppies and let you know when they are ready to go home. There are three litters and a total of 14 puppies, nine girls and five boys.
I’m starting puppy selection November 13th for ALL THREE LITTERS since they are ready right before Christmas and puppy travel can be tricky over the holidays and during the winter months.
There is a very good chance I will be available to puppy nanny up to six puppies to Ontario, CA, around December 28 or 29 so I want to get the conversation started.
MIMI & DUKE’s LITTER
Mimi is a small Bichon and Duke is an average size black/tan Cavalier. This is an F1 litter. They were born October 11, and there are two gold females, one blenheim male, and a black/tan male. I expect this litter to be 15-20lbs as adults. They will be ready to go home December 6-13.
EMILY & JESTER’s LITTER
Surprise!! We were not expecting this litter and because she had just two pups, she did not really have a fat belly either. Emily is a blenheim Cavalier and Jester is the Bichon. This is her first litter! Both of these puppies are females. I expect this litter to be 15-20 lbs as adults. They will be ready to go home December 19-25.
5 days old
MISSY & BIG BOY’s LITTER
This is our final litter for 2022 and the last group of puppies before our break. They were born (mostly) October 26 (technically our solid sable sister was born Tuesday, but the rest came sometime early Wednesday morning so they are all getting the Wednesday bday date!).
Missy is a large black/tan Cavalier and Big Boy is a big Bichon. I expect this litter to be in the 17-23 lb range. There are eight puppies in this litter, three blenheim girls, a golden girl, and a solid sable girl (already matched). There are three boys in the litter, two blenheim and one black/white. These puppies will be ready for new homes December 21-27.
3 days old
I am taking names for all three litters. Please be aware that we will not be able to ship any of these puppies alone in cargo due to the cold weather and pet embargoes during the holiday season, so if you plan to get one of these puppies, you will need to either drive or fly into Spokane, WA, or meet me after Christmas in southern CA.
I will do my best to update pictures weekly. They will all be wormed 2-3 times and have their first shot before going home. We will take them all to the vet for a health certificate as well.
Please fill out the Waiting List Request form (https://silverpawcavachons.com/waiting-list-request-form/) if you’d like to be added to a litter list. We will prioritize those families already on our main waiting list according to waiting list number. Please let me know if you have any questions.
We look forward to meeting the 14 special families that get matched with these puppies!!
Who is in Colorado and wants a puppy?? Our mistake is your gain.
This morning my husband flew with a puppy to Denver. Everything went perfectly…until…
The lady of the family called to tell me we sent the wrong dog!! What???!!!
After I raced home from school to double check, sure enough, she was right. So we have a beautiful blenheim male from the Penny litter in Colorado now and we’d love to not have to fly him back here.
He is a super cutie. He’s playful, very loving, and obviously ready for his new home. He will be in Colorado for the weekend and if we don’t find him a local home there, my husband will bring him back Monday morning.
I think this is the very first time this has happened in almost 20 years. I blame myself because I did not triple check everything this morning and I was not awake when my husband left for the airport. The puppies do look very similar so I get how my hubby could mix them up.
Anyway, we are just hoping there might be a Colorado family ready for a puppy and shipping is free!!
Please CALL me if you want more info about him. I have more photos and video to share.
I took the puppies to our local school and the kids went crazy! It was so much fun! We really got to see their personalities shine!
Golden girls were super sweet and playful!Golden girl!BoysPenny boy, such a big lover, calm, and laid back!!These girls just got in all the pictures!!He was playful and chill at the same time!
This morning I called everyone that was interested in a Dutchess or Missy pup and have matched 4out of 12 puppies so far. We have one golden boy and two golden girls still available from the Dutchess litter, and five girls available from the Missy litter: one sable/white, two golden, and two blenheim. These puppies are ready to go home this coming weekend and they are so happy and cute. I’ll post pictures later today when I have some help holding them!
In other news, I have been actively trying to clean up my waiting list. I have removed over 30 names of people that either have already found a puppy or they have decided not to get a puppy. It has taken a lot of time to do this and there are still many people I have not been able to reach.
I usually don’t post full names on my website but I am going to share my list of those I still need to contact. If your name is below, please reach out via email (silverpawcavachons@gmail.com) or text (509-936-2715) or call me and let me know what your plans are moving forward.
This is my last effort to reach people. I am hopeful that I will hear from many of you on this list below. On July 31, I will be doing the final cleanup of the waiting list and names will be removed if I have not heard from you by that date.
If your name is NOT on this list below, we have spoken this summer and you should see a * by your name on the waiting list. If you have any questions, please give me a call. 509-936-2715.
Here are the names of those I have not been able to reach:
Chris & Ron Smith Daryl & Kathy B Debra Paxton Chris Dickman Sierra Adibi David Katie G Jen F Judy D Brook McIntire Robin Maisel Jerilyn Haney Helen Gret Torres Malia Perecki Karina Dsouza Maryanne Moreno Lorenz Anne Marie Bammert Brittany Lynn Hill Mamie Bass Sabrina Hill Gwen Ahart
Back in the day, I only had the online waiting list and I only used the first initial of the last name. This has proven to be a very bad idea as I can’t even find the full names of Daryl & Kathy, David & Katie, Jen, and Judy. I really hope to hear from these 20 families ASAP. If we have spoken and I have wrongly placed your name on this ‘missing’ list above, please accept my apologies and reach out and let me know.
I think things got so crazy during and after Covid with puppy demand that I just wasn’t able to keep up with everything on the administrative end of things. As of now, things are under control and I just have these final 20 families to hear from.
Thanks for your help on all of this. I want my waiting list to actually reflect the right number of people interested in a puppy. It seems daunting when you’re new and see over 100 names on a list. The truth is, I have been matching puppies to new people consistently for the past 18 months and have mostly been working from the bottom of the waiting list as those have been the people ready to get a puppy. I do still follow the list faithfully, and I feel good knowing that I’ve spoken to the majority of you this summer.
Be watching for the updated pictures of the Missy litter and reach out when you’re ready to get a puppy. Thanks everyone!
We would sure love to see the last two Scarlett Puppies go home this weekend. We still have the blenheim female and the golden male. They are fully vaccinated and ready to go!
There is some confusion about the waiting list vs the email list. Let me explain:
The waiting list is the list of people that are serious about getting a puppy in the near or distant future. They have paid a fee to be on this list so they are prioritized in order when it’s time to choose a puppy. This list is on the sidebar of the website when you’re on a computer and at the bottom of the website when on a phone. There are currently 80 names on this list with a good chance that the number will go down once I’ve spoken with everyone (as mentioned in a previous post, I’m cleaning up my waiting list).
On the right sidebar of the website on a computer (teal section)At the bottom of the website after scrolling down, down, down, when on a phone.
Then there is an email list. When on the website you are able to “subscribe” to the blog. This means you have typed in your email and every time I post on the blog, the blog post goes directly to your email. Some of you asked to be taken off this list. You can actually do that yourself. If you look at the very bottom of your email, you will see an option to unsubscribe. Simply click that link and follow the steps given.
I hope that clears things up. Reach out if you have questions and be sure you are subscribed to the website/blog if you don’t want to miss any details about what is happening at Silver Paw Cavachons!!
Look what I found in my drafts folder! Time to finally publish it!!
So many people want small dogs, and they are definitely adorable, but I have to admit, I LOVE the BIG ones!
I asked my owners to send me pictures of their big Cavachons, those that grew to 18 lbs or more.
I think these dogs are simply regal and gorgeous!!
Sophia
Macy 29 lbs
Hi Kristy,
Attached is a picture of Nikki from Ruby and Mosely’s June 2009 litter. She weighs 25 pounds and was the biggest of six in the litter. I love her size because she’s big enough that she can’t get lost under my feet. She’s still a hundred laughs a day and has the sweetest personality. Everybody simply loves her and she them.
If you’re on our waiting list, this post is especially for you!
We have over 100 names on the list yet I usually only hear from and match puppies to the newest people. This summer I’m cleaning up my list.
I have been texting and emailing many of you on the list (I’m not all the way through yet). I’m finding that a bunch of you have found puppies somewhere else. I’m so happy for you! If you could kindly respond to my text or email and let me know what your plans are moving forward, that will help me a lot!
When brand new people see a waiting list so long, it’s discouraging and they pass me by. If my waiting list is filled with names of people that already have a pup or are no longer interested, it sends a false message.
So I’d like my list to ONLY have people that are still wanting to actually get a puppy!! I’ve emailed or texted through Maria P. I’ll continue to reach out until the very last name.
It will help me a lot if you simply text me your plans. It will save me a lot of time!! be sure to give me your full name in the text. Just a phone number won’t tell me who you are.
I’d like this project completed this week if possible. Thanks so much for your help.

Also, we have two puppies still from the Scarlett litter, the solid sable male and the light blenheim female.
And two more litters ready mid July with possible delivery to northern CA (Sacramento airport).
