We have a Scarlett pup that is looking for a new home. She is currently in the Eugene,Oregon, area and we are looking for someone who is ready NOW for a new family member.
Her new owners just don’t feel that they are ready for the energy level of a puppy and they reached out to me first to see if someone from the waiting list or a new family was in that area and ready now.
Lulu has been to the vet, received her next worming medicine and is progressing well with crate and potty training.
Please email me if you’re interested and I’ll pass along your names to Lulu’s family. (silverpawcavachons@gmail.com)
She is the sable/white female from Scarlett’s recent litter. She went home just a couple weeks ago.
I have updated the waiting list in the sidebar of the website. Please check to make sure your name is there if you sent me the waiting list fee. There were about 25 new families added to the waiting list and we are back over 100 people on the list. This does NOT mean over 100 puppies will go home before you get a pup, it simply means there are that many people looking at getting a pup sometime in the near (or far) future. Once your name is on the waiting list, you are able to reach out with any litter born and let me know you could be interested in a puppy.
Right now I’m going to introduce a new way to do that.
This post is specifically for all the people already on the waiting list that are interested in Fergie’s litter. They are now 6 weeks old and I am late in getting puppy selection lined up. I’ve received quite a few emails from people indicating that they are interested in this litter, but I’d like to introduce a new method of gathering those names. If you sent me an email, I’d like you to also follow through with the instructions in this blog post.
I’ve set up a form that I’d like you to fill out. Please look on the blog and find your waiting list number as you will need that number as part of the information I’m asking for. Basically, this will create a spreadsheet for me and everything will be in one place. Currently, if I look at an email, and I’m not near my dog book, there is a chance I will forget to add the name later in the day. I’m trying to find a way to streamline things since I’m dealing with so many names on a regular basis.
Here is the link to the doc. Fergie Puppy Selection. It simply asks for your name, email, preferred phone number for me to call during puppy selection, city and state for possible transportation coordination, waiting list number, and to indicate your basic interest in each puppy. Select EVERY puppy that you could be interested in (most litters are not all the same color like this Fergie litter, so this puppy list will be more diverse with other litters). I will use this list when I begin making calls for puppy selection. (Let me know if it does not allow multiple answers for the puppy selection. I hope I set that up correctly. This is my first time setting up a Google form.)
Fergie’s litter will be ready November 22. They are all blenheim (apricot and white) in color, and there are 3 girls and 4 boys. I will do my best to get new video loaded to Facebook so you can see them in action. I will also plan to Facetime with those that are able so we can talk details while looking at the puppies. I’d like everyone to fill out this form by Tuesday, November 17th at 6p.m. and I will start making calls that evening and then continue on Wednesday after 3:30pm pacific time. The ideal time for these puppies to go home is November 22-29. After November 29, I will begin to charge a holding fee to keep them longer.
I’m looking forward to working with each of you to find just the right puppy for your family. Kristy
I haven’t been ignoring you, just extremely busy!! The last of the Scarlett and Paige pups have all gone to their forever homes and the attention will be on the Fergie litter. Here are some updates you can expect by the weekend.
First, I will be adding all the new names to the waiting list. Several of you have reached out to me; and YES! Your name will be added to the list.
Second, I will be doing videos and publishing a link with more info on the Fergie puppy selection. That will come in another blog post.
Third, Sophia had puppies, and I will post more details about them. Here is a sneak peek!
Fourth, We have another new litter of two blenheim females and I will post more about them as well.
Things are moving along here. It’s cold, wintery, and we have a new puppy of our own…Maisy. She’s a Tri colored Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, the sweetest girlie ever, and such a playful smuggler!!
So as always, there’s never a dull moment here! More coming this weekend!! Thanks for your patience!
It’s taking me a bit of time to sort through all the emails. I will update the waiting list soon. Please be assured that if you sent a waiting list fee, I have received it, and I am getting you added to the list.
In the meantime, we just have three Scarlett pups here still, the two Paige pups (pictures of them coming too), the little Bichon male, and the Fergie crew. They are getting really cute on their feet starting to interact and play with each other.
We also brought Sophia into the nursery and expect her to deliver pups in the next week. She has had small pups in the past so maybe that will be the case again.
Thanks for keeping informed via this blog and I look forward to getting to know each of you through this puppy matching process!
I swiped this photo from a FB friend who has three of our puppies. From left-right…these are blenheim, solid sable, and golden Cavachons. These are the adult coats, for these three colors, for these puppies.
By the time they fade to these colors, you are already madly in love with them and you don’t really care what color they are.
Dexter, Millie, and Isabelle are ready for the trick-or-treaters!
Just a quick note to let you know that all of the Pearlie pups have gone home and all of the Scarlett pups have been matched.
I am ready to begin making litter lists for the one male BICHON pup that we have, and the litter of 7 blenheim Fergie puppies.
Please send an email if you’d like to be on one of those lists. silverpawcavachons@gmail.com.
Also, for those new on the waiting list, you can put your name on any litter list and I encourage you to reach out no matter where you are on the waiting list. You never know what everyone ahead of you is going to do.
Fergie pups, all blenheim, 3 girls and 4 boys. They will be ready to go home November 22-28, which is the week of Thanksgiving. Please remember that we do charge to hold puppies after 9 weeks of age.
The little male Bichon will be ready November 19-25. I don’t have a picture of him yet, but he’s white!
In my last blog post I mentioned that there were still two puppies available from the Scarlett litter. We would love to match them to somebody looking for a puppy. We are heading to the vet today to get health certificates because they are ready to go home this weekend. Please email if you are seriously interested. Please include your phone number in the email so I can call you back. These are the puppies.
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about the waiting list. I get emails every day asking about the waiting list and recently I haven’t even been responding. I feel terrible about that.
Now that I’ve matched the Pearlie, Scarlett, Olivia, and Paige pups, I’m going to update the waiting list. This means your number will change, probably by close to 20 spaces. Please take note of your new number and use it with any future emails you send.
As for everyone not on the list yet, I’m going to bump up my re-opening date and allow people to get on the waiting list now. To keep things as fair as possible, please forward your original inquiry email, and fill out the waiting list request form (if you haven’t done that), and I will try to maintain the order in which you have reached out to me.
Since I matched a current puppy with the very last person on my list (#95), and there are actually two puppies from the Scarlett litter still available, I don’t know that I will cap the wait list anytime soon.
Please understand that if you get on the list, the $100 fee is NONREFUNDABLE and not part of the purchase price of the puppy. While I plan to continue raising puppies, I cannot control our political climate, potential interruptions in life (like Covid), and anything else that could disrupt the flow of life. Getting on the list is trusting that things will carry forward as normal (what we all hope), but understanding that we live in a part of world’s history with a lot of unknowns. I cannot refund the wait list fee if life takes a hard turn somewhere.
I will do my part to keep raising healthy and happy puppies. These crazy times have resulted in more people working from home and more families wanting a companion dog, and a Cavachon is simply the perfect companion!
So this should be good news for many of you who have been patiently waiting.
2. If you’ve already done that and/or have already contacted me, forward your original email and we can move forward from there.
3. Wait for my response email, decide if you still want to move forward, and then send the wait list fee.
Please remember it can be a significant wait for a puppy, up to 1-2 years, but then again, you might be #95 and matched to the next litter. It’s impossible to know how long it will really take.
Upcoming puppies to match are : 2 Scarlett puppies, 1 male Bichon puppy, and a litter of 7 blenheim colored F1 Cavachons (4 boys, 3 girls). And I’m pretty sure another mom is pregnant.
Please let me know if you have questions. Welcome to the Silver Paw Family!!
