Smudge Goes Home and Other News
Smudge found his forever home today and he is going to be so adored by his new little owners! There’s nothing quite like the excited squeals of little girls when they find out they’re getting a new puppy! And Smudge is going to love all the attention!

Smudge was the last puppy to be matched from our first batch of spring puppies. With all of them matched to forever homes, we can now move forward and get serious about our next batch!
The following puppies are available and we will be posting videos all this week for puppy selection. There are 6-7 families already on the waiting list, who are ready for a new puppy now, and they will have first choice, but there will still be puppies available after we get through the list.
Please be aware of the dates. The first date is when that litter is 8 weeks old and puppies can go home and/or fly. The second date is when an Accelerated puppy (13 weeks old) would go home. Puppies can leave at any time between those dates but keep in mind that we charge $100/week to keep puppies, starting the day a litter turns 9 weeks old.

Please email us at silverpawcavachons@gmail.com if you’re interested in more information.
S/W = Sable & White
SS = Solid Sable
Blen = Blenheim
Gold = Golden
The difference in red and gold is not always visible. We call the golden puppies “red” if the parent Cavalier was a Ruby color.
Hiking Cavachon
Cavachons are so versatile! Look at what Penny did this past weekend!
Took Penny on her first camping trip this weekend and she did so good. She went on a 10 mile hike gaining 100 flights of elevation. She just keeps on trucking. Even at 4.5 months I can tell she’ll be a great hiker
I get asked if Cavachons can go on long walks. The answer is YES!!
The First Days Home
I just received this photo and quick update from “Cooper’s” family and it made me think of something I’d like to mention.
First, here’s Cooper!
(Abbey’s blenheim male)

Here’s cooper, he’s having a ball running around in the back yard
Ps we don’t have his leash on him any more, he’s being really good for us, very smart.
Brian
When Brian mentioned that Cooper no longer has the leash dragging behind him, it reminded me of something I wanted to share. When your puppy first comes home, it is a good idea to put the collar and leash on him, and let him drag the leash around behind him. This allows you to have access to the puppy, even if he’s up to 6 feet away from you.
If your puppy doesn’t want to come at first, you can still get a hold of him by grabbing the leash. This is especially helpful if your puppy decides to play “catch me if you can”. It also helps the pup get used to having something around its neck and not being afraid of the gentle pull that results.
In time, and usually not very much time, your puppy can run around leash free, and when you call him he will come right over to you.
Thank you, Brian, for sharing Cooper and the wonderful picture of him frolicking in the grass.
“Bandit” (& “Smudge”)
What a Week!
Eleven puppies went home this week!! Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Virginia, and California all have new Silver Paw Cavachons!
This was the last that went home today to western WA.

Look at his adorable brother “Smudge” that is still available!

He weighed in at just 2lb 12oz when he was 8 weeks old, so if you’re looking for a small dog in the 10-15lb range, this is your boy!
We also have one more brother, a tad larger than Smudge, who is also available. I’ll post his photo in the next blog post. We are calling him “Bandit” for the full white band around his neck!
These two last black/white puppies are 9 weeks old Sunday and ready to go now. They went to the vet last Thursday and have Health Certificatea and are ready for travel.
If you’re interested in Smudge or Bandit, please send an email to silverpawcavachons@gmail.com.
These boys are affectionate and both love people! They are available to anyone on or off the waiting list.
Roll Call
This was too cute on Friday so I had to snap a photo. These are all the sold puppies waiting to go home!

From left to right: Valerie, Connie, Andrew, Sehra, Rhiana, Cathy, Maryanne, and Janell!
Watching this troop play is so much fun. They are boundless and rough and tumble with each other, and sneaky and naughty, and then they pass out from sheer exhaustion, just to wake up and do it all over again a few hours later.
What fun we’re having with all of your pups!
5 More Puppies
Today, 3 more puppies went home and I failed to get pictures of any of them with their forever families. Fail for me. Boo:(
This brings us to the last 5 puppies still available…all (4) of the black/white males from the Sadie litter (new video posting to FB today), and the sable/white girl from Abbey’s litter. These last 5 puppies (from our current litters) are available to anyone. You don’t have to be on the waiting list to get one of these 5 pups.
They are 8-9 weeks old now and all of them are ready to go to their new homes.
Please send questions to silverpawcavachons@gmail.com.
Here is one of the black/white boys to give you an idea of what they look like!
